It's the holiday season, and that means Science Channel likes to leave a big package of MythBusters for you to unwrap as we air every episode ever in chronological order. This year's marathon is bigger than ever, starting with the very first myth - "Jet Assisted Chevy," which premiered in 2003 - and ends with the latest myths from the new episodes MythBusters.

Here are your all important tune-in details: The MythBusters Mega Merry-Thon begins Friday, December 22 at 12am ET/PT to Wednesday, January 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by an all-new episode of MythBusters at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

That's the first big hurdle to get past. You have questions every year like, "Science Channel, when is the optimal time for a snack run?" or "Science Channel, I'm 13 hours in and I can't feel my left foot. Is that bad?" We're willing to bet this isn't your first time at the binge-watching rodeo but we're going to stick with the same advice: we can't individually make a call on these matters so we suggest in true MythBusters fashion you test in advance and set your new smartwatches to remind you to rub your feet.

What can you science nerds answer about the MythBusters Mega Merry-Thon? Here are a few FAQs:

  • You will see every MythBusters with Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, and the build team.
  • You will see the famous Penny Drop, The Simpsons Special, President's Challenge featuring President Barack Obama, Diet Coke and Mentos, Star Wars: The Myths Strike Back, James Bond Special, and Bullet Baloney. You can start tweeting us your favorite episode anytime you'd like, we feel your excitment. Obvi.
  • You will see all the new episodes to date from the new season of MythBusters with Brian Louden and Jon Lung, and Bo the MythDog. They are testing chainsaws firing bullets, sleeping bags full of flatulence and Jason Bourne's nailgun fire extinguisher.
  • The Merry-Thon ends with a new MythBusters with Brian and Jon at 9p on 1/3.
  • You have to visit your Grandparents? Set your DVR - it's all good. We'll be here when you get back. Returning gifts with the family? Hop on the free mall wi-fi and stream it on SCIGo.
No, wait. We're NOT done. We love to give. Well, technically it's Jon and Brian and Bo and the camera crew and the second camera crew and the sound guy and...well, you get the idea. THEY weren't done giving. They came up with twelve new holiday-themed mini-myths that will air every night. They decked our halls with sounds of laughter so be sure not to miss them!

And, we're not kidding when we say we're ALSO giving away the chance to win a DJI Spark drone every night. Just watch the Merry-Thon for the watch and win information!

Right. So what do you have to do?

Tweet or with us using #MBMerryThon. You know the yearly drill; we want to hear and see you!! This includes:

  • Thoughts on your favorite myths. Where you where when you first watched them.
  • The myth that changed your life. You know - the one you first talked about with your now wife/husband, your children, your grandchildren.
  • There's more than one way to slay a myth...not that we suggest it...but rumor has it that a few of people on the internet may have tried busting some of these myths under circumstances slightly different than the MythBusters. How did these individuals do that?
  • Inspiration! Tell us how the MythBusters inspired you to look at science in a new way and to not be afraid to enjoy it? Who out there watched MythBusters and went into a science career?
  • Feet. You love sending us pictures of your feet in front of the Merry-Thon. Some day, we'll have a picture for every episode...
  • Families. We love your kids, your pets, just you or just your tree and TV. We've even seen just a bag of chips and the TV. We know your heart is in the right place.
  • Quotes - the famous "Faliure is always an option" always works, but there's a million more. Lets get creative and share.

We're also pretty sure memes of explosions, car crashes and fruit being destroyed in a variety of ways would not exist without the trail blazed by the MythBusters (Editors Note: check this grand statement as confirmed, plausible or busted), so BRING THEM ON. Our veteran Merry-thon staff is waiting and you never know who else is out there in internet 'verse watching the hilarity to ensue.

We are on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook at @ScienceChannel and @MythBusters using #MBMerryThon! Don't forget it all starts on Friday 12/23 at Midnight!
